Banners are truly wonderful accoutrements to use in various functions, such as store promotions or generating greater awareness of an event. The latter is even evident when you have a booth in a trade show and want to attract more customers. But you should know that creating the banner in the first place takes a modest degree of brainstorming to make perfect.

First you have to pick an image that best describes your company's ethos and services. Take note of the booth's overall colors and graphic design to make sure the banner synchs with it as well. Any advertising materials you use will need conformity. Format-wise, you can choose whether to set up the banner in a vertical or horizontal fashion, but consider if they will be mounted or hung from a certain location.

Although the adage “bigger is better” is true in the case of banner printing, it may be a waste if the design is slightly off the mark. Your message should contain finer points such as a striking headline, short bullet points, a call to action, and text in simple fonts. The colors can be vivid, but must not overpower the content.

Ultimately, setting up a banner is just one of many tools you can use to advertise a cause or product. Using good copy and designs will carry your message farther.
