Three Ideas to Avoid In the Screen Printing Trade

Screen
printing has proven invaluable to the advertising industry many times over.
With this technology, vehicle wraps, banner making and t-shirt printing can be
done with creativity. This is why many entrepreneurial minds cannot wait to
weigh and wade in this particular enterprise. However, there are three things
that should be avoided when entering the screen printing business.
First
is the misconception that artwork
for screen printing is the same as in other design-based industries.
The graphics (especially those for shirt designs) should be properly set up for
screen printing and film positives. The lines and colors can easily be
distorted when they are incorrectly put together in screen printing’s many
components.
The
second idea to shun is buying a startup kit and equipment without fully
understanding how screen printing works. Sure, the right machinery and tools
are important in this trade. However, the skills to create artworks that
captivate are more important that implements. The advice of a person with years
of experience in this venture should be sought.
The
third thing to avoid is the notion that computer-generated heat transfers can
do everything. This technology does not do justice to dark-colored
custom-printed materials. This fact can limit the range of products a
businessman can offer his customers.

Tips for a Striking and Awesome Banner

Banners
are truly wonderful accoutrements to use in various functions, such as store
promotions or generating greater awareness of an event. The latter is even
evident when you have a booth in a trade show and want to attract more
customers. But you should know that creating the banner in the first place
takes a modest degree of brainstorming to make perfect.
First
you have to pick an image that best describes your company's ethos and
services. Take note of the booth's overall colors and graphic design to make
sure the banner synchs with it as well. Any advertising materials you use will
need conformity. Format-wise, you can choose whether to set up the banner in a
vertical or horizontal fashion, but consider if they will be mounted or hung
from a certain location.
Although
the adage “bigger is better” is true in the case of banner printing, it may be
a waste if the design is slightly off the mark. Your message should contain
finer points such as a striking headline, short bullet points, a call to
action, and text in simple fonts. The colors can be vivid, but must not
overpower the content.
Ultimately,
setting up a banner is just one of many tools you can use to advertise a cause
or product. Using good copy and designs will carry your message farther.

Screen Printing, Hollywood-style

When
you live in a city that is home to numerous Hollywood stars, it is safe to say
that LA residents know how to draw attention—whether they are at school aiming
for an “A,” or at work eyeing a raise from their boss. Business owners who rely
on signs, banners, and promotional materials to get the word out on their
products or services must also know how to create eye-catching designs. If not,
they risk their efforts going unnoticed. Another good option to promote
products or services is through custom-printed shirts, and for this, the
technique of screen printing is typically used.
Designing
t-shirts, however, is not as easy as it sounds. If you like going to LA comedy
clubs and plan to inject a little humor into your shirt, you can do so, but
remember to keep it tasteful and subtle. Colors can also help in garnering
attention, but be sure they are not too muddled when printed or else they'll
become more of an eyesore that an “eye-catcher.”
Remember
that while you can't go wrong with putting in your company logo, it's a good
idea to follow the trend in fashion these days, wherein the big logos are out
and small logos are in. Keep in mind: you want to tell the world about your
business, not scream at them like big logos often do. If you intend to use
images, be sure they are in line with your products and services.

Inviting
close friends to a party can be as easy as calling them up or sending text
messages if you can't do it personally. Or if you have the time and resources,
you can send a formal invitation. Most of your buddies would more than likely
honor your invitation no matter how you do it.
However,
if you want to invite more than just the people you know to a gathering, you
need to be more resourceful. This can be especially critical if you are pressed
for time. How can you reach as many people as possible to make the event a
success? The most convenient and affordable way is to put up a banner in
strategic places.
Yes, an
outdoor banner can be the most practical method to invite people to any kind of
gathering. If done right and set up in a conspicuous area, you can be sure that
a lot of people will be able to read it. The good news is that banners can be
printed in any manner you want and promote anything you like—for as long as
it's not against the law of course.
In
fact, banners can't just be used to promote special events; in business, they
can also be used to announce sales blitzes and new products or services as
well. With printed banners, you can be sure that the gang's indeed gonna be
there!
